Syracuse Hancock International Airport
Opened in 1949 as the Clarence E. Hancock Airport, the Syracuse Hancock International Airport is located northeast of Syracuse. The airport provides general aviation services in addition to commercial air travel. Central New York travelers looking for commercial flights have a choice of seven major commercial airlines and ten affiliate airlines.
The first commercial flights were provided by American, Robinson, Buffalo, and Colonial Airlines. Soon after the airport was built, Interstate 81 opened adjacent to the airport, allowing direct access to the airport. While waiting for a flight, stroll through the Discover the Airport! Exhibit located on the main floor in the terminal.
