Established in 1927 as Britton Field, the Greater Rochester International Airport is located on the south side of Rochester in New York's Finger Lakes region. Throughout the years, continued improvements to this 1,136-acre airport included additional runways, a terminal building, jetways, baggage carousels, and a parking garage.
Commercial passengers have plenty of options for commercial flights with more than fifteen commercial airlines available at the airport. Terminal amenities includes a variety of restaurants, lounges, shops, free Wi-Fi, a 3,800-square-foot observatory available non-ticketed passengers, and a business center. General aviation flight services are also available through the airport's fixed base operator, as well as cargo transportation.
